An established, independent music agency, looking to spruce up their online presence.
Soho Music Group work with some seriously big players. Because of this their web presence needs to accurately represent them, and serve as a validator for their business meetings. As it was, their site was not slick enough, and certainly not flexible enough, so they enlisted us to fix it. Their watchword for this brief was “slick”, so we prototyped a number of solutions to hone in on something suitably smooth.
“We’ve worked with a range of clients, so we know how to approach people based on what they tell us in our initial meetings. Soho Music knew what they didn’t like, but weren’t so certain of what they did like. Iterative prototyping fit the bill perfectly for them.”
Navigation methods were experimented with early on.
We presented Soho Music with a number of options for navigation on their site, and prototyped their favourites. From this they were able to make a confident decision about which option was right for them. From there we developed a style guide, and responsive layouts, then worked with them to finalise imagery and content for the site.
Soho Music’s focus was a solid and slick user experience, quick access to media and contact information, all bundled up in a stylish, yet smooth package. We began (as always with mobile first, to ensure that we could realise their goals on the most challenging devices, and then built out from there.
“One of Soho Music Group’s core problems with their old site was they found it hard to update. We built them a completely bespoke Wordpress theme that will serve them well into the future.”
